Gregory’s Roots…
Gregory Scott Kunkle Jr. a brief history.
Son of the Rio Grande Valley and Defender of South Texas…
Born in Weslaco, TX to his first generation American mother, Gregory was instilled with Christian, conservative, hard working, values from an early age.
Graduating from Harlingen High School and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, Gregory learned the value of service to his community and the honor that it is from a young age.
Gregory graduated from Texas A&M University where he met his wife of 17 years, Abbey Ewing of McAllen, TX. A blessing from God.
Together as a young family with four children and alongside his entry into the workforce, Gregory began his career serving the people of South Texas for the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Cameron County. He soon realized his ambition to lead by example while getting his hands dirty in soils of South Texas.
Gregory started his first business to help the farmers and ranchers of the Rio Grande Valley, AeroAg. The first agricultural drone company in the state of Texas still in operation today.
From here, Gregory has continued to contribute to our great nation in cyber security as a Director of the Global Cyber Research Institute at Texas A&M University managing a portfolio of Department of Defense programs, researching and developing critical infrastructure technology, and training the next generation of students that will join the frontlines in defending our nation’s cyberspace.
Still a serial entrepreneur at heart, Gregory has started multiple companies including a music production company Sonic Sounds USA, an antique shop Round Top Antiques, a micro-farm Lost Trail Harvest Co. and alongside his wife, debuted as professional Christian recording artists.
It is with this experience from Agriculture to Cyberspace that Gregory is ready to represent the people of Texas’s 34th Congressional District.
